My girlfriend has moved into her dorm at discovery heights in plymouth we have had a long distance relationship until now does she need to ask her uni if i can stay and let them know when i visit or can i just go visit her and let the reception or whoever know on the day

The accommodation provider for Discovery Heights is Capitol Students. Their FAQ covers this: https://www.capitolstudents.com/faqs/?faqId=1352
"Can I have guests to stay?
"Of course. We normally allow a maximum stay of two days per visit for guests but they will need to sign in/out at reception (this is outlined in our guest policy which you will sign when you move in). Guests are not allowed their own key."
