University of keele or Staffordshire?

Hi, I am an Egyptian student living in Manchester I am currently applying through clearing and already have an offer at Staffordshire but was thinking about applying at keele as well since I meet the clearing criteria too, commuting from manchester is about 40 mins till Staffordshire however I need to add an extra 30 mins if I want to go to keele. I want to know if it is worth it travelling the extra distance? And what are the pros and cons of each uni especially that I am an international student.

I live inbetween Staffordshire University and Keele so I hope I can be of some help!

Keele's campus is A LOT nicer. Sadly, they didn't do my course so I didn't apply there. However, my friend has a place there and my cousin went there. It has a good social life and a good community. There isn't a lot to do in the town nearest but there isn't at Staffordshire University either. You'll feel a lot safer in Keele in my opinion. I applied to go to Staffordshire as a back up choice as it was good for my course. That's one thing you should look at...which is better for your course? If you're doing design related, Staffordshire is better but anything law/academic, I'd say Keele every time.

As well as that, if you decided to live in at any point, Keele halls are better. On the other side, Staffordshire is across the road from Stoke Train station, which has a lot of trains to Manchester and back all of the time. (With a railcard, it shouldn't be too bad).

Statistically, Keele does better in rankings for things like Job Opportunities. Ranking don't mean a lot to most people but it's worth a mention. Keele can help you find some really great placement years. When I asked Staffordshire University about placement years, the lecture didn't really know what to say other than they'd let me take a year out if I wanted too (The University I am now going to will help me find a paid one, monitor me ect).

As far as I'm aware, Keele has a way better nightlife.
You might want to hear from people that study at them though!
