I thought this too..going by last yrs intake, but this cohort, most of us were only interviewed by the 1 Council so it would just be a yes/ no.
So personally I would've thought either a call or email just to let us know esp, if its going to be a no, that way I can personally move on. Not been able to be "present" and constantly thinking the call is going to be the NGDP team!

Hi, have u heard from Bradford? M just wondering if theres some order for the NGDP, and the councils in the NW region are last or still finalising/ last to inform?
Most people have mentioned London and Midlands.
Could just be my mind working extra to justify the delay lol

Hey all, congratulations to everyone who's gotten the confirmation email!
I just got my call in today saying that I have been accepted, however, I still haven't received my email (even though the caller said it will be sent this afternoon). Any idea on what to do now, as I'm also expected to decide within 24 hours, but can I email my decision even when I haven't gotten an email back?

Not sure with the email, if you're worried perhaps just email saying you accept the position. At least they have a record of it then :smile:

I also got my call round 5pm and got accepted by islington! v v happy
still no email but hopefully soon

all the best of luck to those still waiting - it's a very tough process but hopefully will be worth it in the end

Hi. Not north east but north west. I'm not sure whether decisions are going out based on locations nt not heard back for mine and I've also asked on here. Not had a response, so I'm assuming no ones heard up north.

No i dont mind u asking! I did mine 31.06. Exactly 2 weeks ago. The council said they would make a decision within a few days but as it was a national recruitment I would hear through NGDP. So I don't think the councils delayed their response as they said they'll make the decision relatively quickly

Hey,

Yeah I heard back mine was in Yorkshire so Sheffield and Bradford - I know a few were waiting for calderdale I don't know if they heard back but if they did they may be doing it on locations as it's quite close to Bradford.

Thanks fr responding. I'm just not too hopeful now tbh. Think I would've been contacted if I was.
Really would've pursued this career with a passion. But hey ho, wasnt to be. There's other opportunities and time I focused on those. Thing m going radio silent from now as it's too stressful!

I wouldn’t give up just yet. I haven’t heard back at all too from my two in Birmingham but it might be for a multitude of reasons. Most stressful days I’ve had in a while ngl! Holding out hope still tho. Do hope everything works out for everyone

Hiya,

I’ve been watching this thread for a little while without an account but thought I’d jump on and say don’t give up just yet. I was in the same boat but got my call today. The NGDP team is very small and there’s a lot of people to call. You’ve also got remember that once someone is offered a place over the phone a confirmation email is sent out but from my experience and from speaking to others this is often delayed by hours if not a day. Once the candidate receives that email they then also have a further 24hrs to make a decision so if you’re second choice for a council you may have to wait quite a while. Worth also bearing in mind that there’s the second round interviews and the talent pool in the worst case scenario. Appreciate all this probs won’t calm the nerves (easy for me to sit here and say all this) but you’ve got this far for a reason, we all have. Taking a little break from here until you get your results is probs also a good idea. I personally found it to be quite disheartening reading everyone’s messages about securing a place when I hadn’t. Hang in there and good luck mate🤞🏻
