I am applying for an insight day at PwC, however I do not really know what they do. I know all the services and all that but just in general what is their main, lets say, title. Am I right to assume that there a financial firm?

How can you know what services they offer and not know what kind of company they are?

They're a big four accounting firm mainly offering audit but also offer things like corporate tax compliance, M&A, corporate finance, etc.

:ditto: Though, as with all of the Big 4, their official line will be that they are a "professional services" firm

    Agreed.

Best to use this as it encompasses the full spectrum of services offered, eg. non-accountancy lines.

Accounting Professional Services firm sounds better. Or just professional services.

Financial firm is a bit... meh.

reasoning against accounting professional services (don't like that to be honest) and financial services is that whilst the large majority of their work is financial they have a couple of non financial lines, and it wouldn't impress them too much if you didn't acknowledge that .

My flame war early warning detector went off when I walked past this thread. I had to come in and take a look.

A few people here won't be happy that you called them the best known. There's another three which are arguably just as good.

    Edit: I forgot the known.

Well I am sure that saying they are the best known is reasonable.
