When were you at your fittest?

In my mid 20’s I used to train with a running group twice a week doing killer interval sessions like 10x 300m runs (with 2 min rest) or 10x 500m’s. Along with a run on the weekend. The sessions felt horrible yet satisfying but I was fitter than I had ever been (despite still being one of the slowest runners).

It was odd as I was faster than most of them at a 200m flat out sprint but was always way behind at the speed endurance sessions.

Fittest? Ran a marathon at 20yo.

Strongest - now. Late 20s
When I was at age 31 or 32: trained intensively and kept an eye on my foods for a more balanced nutrition.
