What do you mean by your on "Hospital on side accommodation"?
So you have been given a username and password to connect to the network, which is the accommodation I am guessing is the provider for the Internet. I am guessing it is a personal username and password which is something that is not everyone would use.
But you have to be very careful with what you do. Because the ISP has its own conditions and may not allow you to have your own router or anything but for example may allow you to have your own access point which acts as a strength increaser.
However, if it is okay. I would recommend getting a switch network which, will allow you to hook up multiple ethernet ports. I am not particularly sure if the adaptor will work and will allow the internet to get enabled. But I am guessing if it does you will need a router to connect to that ethernet port as smart devices on halls networks can be buggy as halls wifi requires a certain password or username once you have already connected, but with your own router, you should be fine as you just need the wifi and password for that.
