Use a heat protector too, and don't use really hot straighteners (like GHDs) unless you really need them...

Mine looks unhealthy when its unstraightened...But that's probably because it is damaged after four years of bleaching. Straightening it makes it look shiny and nice.

I only used GHDs because they're ceramic...most other ones take a while to heat up =/ which ones do you use? Straightening is good as long as its not done too frequently  my hair is less frizzy after straightening, but after doing this repeatedly, it becomes naturally even frizzier after washing (despite using heat protector)

Well my hairdresser told me that conditioner doesn't really help. There are shampoos and conditioners which actually straighten your hair though!

I'd use a mask every two weeks, you can leave it overnight and then wash it out the next morning... your hair will get really shiny and nice

Do you know any good straightening-shampoos?
I tried the Tigi "Control Freak" - it didnt really make much difference :frown:

My brother's straighteners go up to 180 degree's, I think more but that's how much he has it set to and he straightens it everyday. He's also been doing it for a few years now and it looks fine. :s-smilie:

I don't know any good shampoos for that but when I had the power mask by wella sp it really made my hair smooth and shiny  but you have to spend some time combing your hair and keeping it straight while blow-drying it.

it's not the cheapest unfortunately :frown:

http://www.beautybay.com/haircare/wellasp/powermask/ that would be the average price.
