Im thinking of having a wax "down there" but havent ever had it done before. I usually shave everything off but have been extremely lazy the past few days. A few questions...how much would it roughly cost to have it done? Is it really really painful? And how much hair would be acceptable to have before I have it done?
    Thanks

I don't think it's too much of a cost, I haven't done it myself but I've seen an interview with a person who waxes people's private parts and she said sometimes she has to stop because it's too painful for the women
But she also says they keep coming back because it just looks great.

It's really not that bad. It'll be quite painful the first few times but the hair does grow back weaker. It can cost anything from £10-£30, depending on where you go. You'd probably need to let the hair grow for about a week before it's long enough to wax off, but it doesn't need to be particularly long. I'd recommend taking painkillers about 20 minutes beforehand - paracetamol and ibuprofen at the same time. It just numbs you a bit. I don't bother any more though.

I had it done once. I went to Graham Webb and it cost about £30 for a hollywood. Very painful but worth it when my then bf saw it. They tell you to let it grow for 2 weeks before the appointment, I highly recommend you do this.

£15-20 for a brazilian, around a tenner for a normal wax and up to £30 for a hollywood.

I started out having normal waxes and getting them higher and higher up if that makes sense...leaving more of a strip. Taking paracetamol 20 mins before is a good move, and make sure you are wearing nice loose knickers and trousers after. I don't think it hurts that much, it makes my eyes water but i can usually keep chatting through it which distracts! Try and get a recommendation off a friend if you can because it only really hurts if you go somewhere not very good.
