Anyone else get these feelings at parties they go to?
Every party I go to there's separate circles of people which seem impossible to get into, so I end up just having to follow my friends around all night...

More attractive people getting with each other, people smoking or doing drugs ostracizing others.

Each party basically leaves me more depressed now.

Learn some dance moves, that helps in situations, but mostly in clubs.

Also just go in brash and talk to folk, no need to feel intimidated.

Not everyone gets confidence from alcohol, if anything it makes me worse in social situations. Unfortunately there isn't some magic fix to getting that confidence boost, however if you make yourself look confident and interesting, or just randomly start chatting to someone in a scenario for example talking to someone whilst getting another drink, or grabbing a free seat and joining in with the conversation. It can be hard but the only way it will happen is if you go out and do it.

I was like that at like, my first party.
Just loosen up a bit and talk to everyone - that's what I do.
Hahaha I usually walk by myself into random rooms and talk to people and walk off again...

    Don't go then.
Do things in life that make you feel good, and good about yourself.
Parties, whilst good, are just bad with the wrong people.
