Parking at Whitworth Park

Is it possible (or even necessary?) to get a one-day parking permit for the car park in Whitworth Park? I'm having someone visit, and they don't really want to park on the street, or in a multi-storey.

I really don't know, i'm looking over the car pack now and always see a few cars of students driving in and out. You're best asking at Grove House.

I asked at Grove House, and she said it wasn't allowed - that it's a private car park for uni staff & people who work in the shops & bank below Thorncliffe.

ahh noes, it's never even full :| Other day we were getting a taxi back from ASDA and the gate was open so we paid and got out and the gate had shut and realised the taxi wouldn't be able to get out :s:

Just park down Denmark road.

On Denmark road theres the side streets, when coming from Oxford road the first one on the left go down it towards the end you can park there and its reasonably safe very few people go down there
