Imagine giving it the big talk about being the best PL side ever after one PL in the 6 year Klopp...

The Arsenal won titles in nearly every decade since 1920s. The bank of England club, the aristocrats, good old Arsenal...

Other than pundits and bitter Arsenal fans, I don't think any Liverpool fans in this thread claimed that. Could've, would've, shoulda.. if we had won the quadruple but that fell apart as spectacularly as Arsenal's season will.

Sure.. let's just ignore the majority of the last 2 decades. Now if only you could qualify for the CL again so that you can even dream about winning the CL :colondollar:

CL dead rubber basically considering we would need to beat Napoli by 4 goals to top the group.

Makes complete sense to rest the whole first team before the Spurs game since we're in such a funk.

What do I expect Klopp to do? Play the first team so we can pick up some more injuries

That’s exactly what he did in 2020 against Midtjylland. Complained about multiple injuries and went full strength in a game that didn’t matter, resulting in more injuries and more complaints about injuries.

We need kids and shite like Chamberlain in this game. Absolutely nobody who is close to a first team player.

Interestingly enough, you guys have a good chance of beating Spurs, they have to put a full strength team while you don't.

Hoping that Liverpool don't play the donkey or only puts him on for a cameo. Need him fit for my fantasy.

last 2 seasons, only last season mate, season before that you were in a top 4 battle and got pumped by Real Madrid, what's that they've beaten you guys in the CL 3 in a row now. Mad.

Woops typo. Meant the majority of the last 2 decades - ie no league title for Arsenal in 18 years.

To be fair, Madrid have been on another level to everyone else in the Champions League. 5 CL wins in 9 seasons..

Not like Chelsea have done wildly better than Liverpool - a CL each in the last decade and two in the last two decades.

Hopefully Zurich can tell us how many CLs Arsenal have won.. :dice:

That team we are putting out is ******* ridiculous. I don’t want to hear again about injuries or fatigue.

Alisson - fine he’s a keeper but just play someone else
Trent - lad is ****ed, ran into the ground for years and don’t have a back up
Van Dijk - has looked knackered and been ran into the ground.
Fabinho - looks ****ed, knackered and been ran into the ground. Has never been able to play three games in a week. Joke.
Thiago - gets injured through playing consistently, already been injured, just leave him out.
Salah - gets played every game but looked like he was dead against Forest. Rest him.
Firmino - looked ducked, just rest him.

Expecting a minimum of two injuries or niggles that prevent them starting against Spurs.

******* dead rubber.

Reply 187

Thiago, Salah, Trent and Fabinho all playing 90 minutes. Nonsense.

Reply 188

NUNEZ!!! Goal given by VAR.

Reply 189

That Nunez VAR was baffling. Took a 2 second review to know he was inside, so why it took 2 minutes made no sense.

the donkey scored again. No way you don't beat spurs on the weekend tbh.

Exactly my point. I couldn’t give a **** that we beat Napoli tonight, when Napoli didn’t give a ****.

We’ve ran our players into the ground for nothing, with Trent, Firmino and Fabinho looking knackered towards the end of the game, and Thiago looking like he had a bit of a knock.

Yea but we won £2.4mil by winning the game so..

That 2.4M gonna come in handy when you're in the conference league next season to be fair.

Well Chilwells likely injured now and we have a crunch game with Arsenal on the weekend and Newcastle week after because we decided to use a guy who just come back from ACL injury in a dead rubber. Amazing.

Anything other than playing the kids and fringe players is the wrong decision here. Don't care if the team gets battered 5-0 still better than your best player getting injured even if they bag a goal.

This is true, Arsenal are marble in England and paper in Europe. No other club in Europe has that combination, none.

Poor lad going to miss the World Cup.

Such a terrible time to host the tournament. I think we'll see tons of players get injuries at training once they fly out and also in matches once they start playing.

Henderson available v Spurs. No Milner due to concussion. Full contract training for him on Tues.
