To the ******* who threw the bottle at the United coach. Kindly **** off and die quietly somewhere.

That did not feel great.

Nobody felt on it. We were trying to execute see plays but we were so slow on the ball that it was pointless.

Most players had a terrible touch and we had a special move across the entire team of ‘spin on the spot and pass it backwards’.

United were absolutely garbage and we didn’t commit to beating them.

Nunez is becoming more and more of an issue. The heir to Inzaghi’s ‘born offside’ and might just genuinely be too stupid to play at this level.

Really was disappointed today. Mostly with the fans and that not a single player could create one moment of quality to win a poor game.

Re the fans, we had 7,000 extra fans today and it was a late kick-off, basically under the lights and they were dead quiet all game.

I'm expecting daylight robbery today whether the ref/VAR gets involved or Man Utd smuggle in a goal from a filthy counter and do nothing else all game. Just so @bj27 can troll us.

I think after watching that performance Liverpool are clearly the best team in the league.

Forward players currently off form and we really missed Jota in that game.

But it will click again and the forwards have goals in them. League is a marathon, not a sprint.

I disagree that the forwards are off form they performed really well against United. Honestly this is easily the best Liverpool squad I've seen in my lifetime. You're about to get a second ever PL title in a few months time.

Nobody will be able to handle the might of gakpo Nunez and Salah.

Now it just feels like you're not even putting real effort in.

First team or rotate for Wednesday night?

West Ham are not far in the table (currently 8th) from European spots and are still in the Europa League (straight into the R16 with us) but I still think Moyes will see the League Cup as a real chance to win another trophy so I think he will go his strongest team?

Perhaps we rotate so that our players are fresh to play Arsenal at the weekend. Perhaps the first team should all play so that we have some more shooting practice before Arsenal..

We need to rotate and be fresh for arsenal. Dropping points against United and Arsenal wont be good.

Are you man okay? This is a great chance for you to win a trophy. Your squad isn’t strong enough to win the Premier League and compete with Arsenal and Man City. Salah leaving for AFCON will exacerbate that. You should play a pretty strong team from the start which means Salah starts.

Not sure why you’d give up a chance of winning the trophy when you’re in the quarter-finals and there are no big teams apart from the winner of Chelsea vs Newcastle left. You’re not even in the Champions League so cup competitions become more important.

The club needs to rest plays for Arsenal. A trophy is good but the league is more important.

Agreed why would anyone supporting the mighty Liverpool be afraid of any team that stands in their way in the league cup.

There's no Tottenham to play who have steel in cups over the years so why would Liverpool be afraid of any of these teams who lack the ability to win trophies. Liverpool can very easily win a treble this season. In fact if they don't win two trophies I'd consider the season a failure for the strength and depth of their squad

I mean the team were rested for the Europa League game on Thursday and we still put in a flat performance against Man Utd. I don't think that was due to tiredness..

A draw against Arsenal wouldn't be a terrible result?

And now we know the other semi-finalists are Chelsea, Fulham and Middlesborough.

Feels like a real chance to win a trophy since it is just 3 games (win against West Ham then against 2 of those 3 teams).

I guess like Wired_1080 says, we have a good chance in the league too so why risk that against title contenders Asenal.

Don't you mean title contenders Tottenham?

Arsenal are pretenders. Spurs have the experience and know how to win a title.

How many league titles does Arteta have and how many does big Ange have?

The League Cup is not worth winning. It's a dreadful trophy set up so clubs could increase revenue.

Why does Spain/Germany/Italy not have other cup competitions other than their national cup contest? The answer is because its not needed

Agreed but the mighty Liverpool who won the possession(therefore the match) against United are still in it so should win it with ease.

You were right about the United game but draws drop points. We need full power against Arsenal.
