So we just threw away a lead 3 times? Just awful.

Can't work out if Slot has lost the dressing room but the performances have been awful.

Poor. Some believe that he has lost the dressing room.

Why the feck is Salah on the bench all the time now

What do you all think of Salah's latest comments?

Unforgivable. No player is bigger than the club.

Shocking to be honest. Quite the reaction to being on the bench for 3 games when in terrible form - clearly Slot was trying to send a message (whether from himself or higher up, who knows?), but given what he’s done it is a dramatic change and he would atleast be owed an explanation. We don’t know at all what’s going on inside but this is absolutely seismic regardless of who is in the wrong.

Either way, you can’t publicly talk like that about the club and expect everything to just be ok and I think Slot and Salah together now is absolutely untenable and I don’t see a way out unless one of them leaves or the dressing room really will be torn apart. Perhaps it already has by this which adds to the reasons for our terrible form and confidence.

If it is the end of Salah at Liverpool it’s a really, really sad end to a legendary career but I think that’s the most likely scenario.

I can't understand Salah's motivations behind making those comments. He did throw his toys out of the pram once when Klopp dropped him so it's something he's done before. But not only is he wrong about being made the scapegoat, these are views he should be airing privately. The reality is that he has not played well this season, and has therefore been dropped. There's nothing more complicated to it than that. As a professional and a player who is approaching the twilight of his career, he should be able to recognise that he can't stay at the top of his or the game forever. Since he has been dropped, I do think we've played better.

We'll have to see how this all plays out. Feels like a move to Saudi may happen sooner rather than later though. It would be a shame for such a legendary Liverpool and Premier League career to end like that, but you can't always get the ending you want. It won't affect his legacy.

Salah has been a problem for years but it had been ignored because he delivered the goods with goals. Some of his former colleagues had called him out in the past including Firmino and Mane for his selfishness and disregard for teamwork.

I agree that the Saudi move is inevitable but he should have stayed to, at least, try to beat Kane or Shearer’s goalscoring tally.

Some Liverpool fans are unforgiving and if the player leaves in a manner that they don't approve, that’s it for them e.g. Trent.

I don't think he's saying he's bigger than the club. We can probably infer that he thinks he's bigger/more important that the new signings and/or the manager..

Disagree with this in part. He's not the only one in poor form, it's the whole team. Arguably only Szobozlai and Ekitike have been playing well. Not sure what Isak, Wirtz or Gakpo have shown to say they deserve to start over Salah.

In recent years he has been vocal (and publically) when unhappy. We saw him do it about his new contract last season too.

Although I do think Slot made a rod for his own back. He could have started Salah in one or two of those games (instead he was on the bench for all 3 and only came on for 45 mins in one game). Salah was about to go to AFCON, he could've been managed until then and once away, you can play a team without him and then if its performing better, easier to drop after his return from AFCON.

I don't know if it's a Slot decision or upper hierachy but if they want Salah to leave in January to Saudi, they needed him to be unhappy now before going to AFCON.

I suppose it's interesting how we only hear from Salah when he wants something, but not when it comes to taking responsibility for the team not doing well. Surely he knows why he's sitting on the bench...

I don't think I saw Firmino ever call out Salah. Only Mane but they obviously had a rivalry. He worked plenty hard for the team in his prime years. Only in the last couple of seasons have you seen him "cheat" so that he offers more in attack rather than wasting his limited energy on defensive work. It worked like a charm last season when he basically won us the league with his goals and assists. No one called him lazy then.

If Salah leaves for 100mil to Saudi in January, no one is going to complain.
Do you all think he would have changed the outcome of the game yesterday if he'd been allowed to play?
