Happier with Spurs winning, what on earth are those jokers going to achieve anyway....

Liverpool on the other hand looked a threat this season. Looked.

**** the **** off. So unlucky at the end after so much put in by our players against all the odds. Utterly shameful officiating - but still not as embarrassing as Spurs celebrating like they won the CL.

PGMOL have just admitted VAR ‘failed’ to intervene on Diaz goal and should have stood. I just can’t.

Wait? Really? What is the point of 3 people at VAR watching it and refusing to actually check?
I guarantee they saw Diaz’s reaction as he looked like he thought he was offside and just went, well he wouldn’t do that if there was a chance he’s on.
Genuinely needs to be lawsuits from clubs for this kind of nonsense.

If Klopp complains, he could be fined. Utter nonsense.

Yep, they released a statement after the game. Utterly incompetent or utterly corrupt, take your pick.

The sad thing is, I think it is just genuine incompetence, rather than any corruption.

Didn’t watch the game but Twitter said that Liverpool were robbed of a clear goal? What’s going on?

To be fair Tottenham have hard much harder games than Arsenal this season and are ahead of them.

Spurs will finish maybe 15 points behind

15 poins and 5th place after the end of the season, although the Spurs got a good start. I give the team that.

One of those games where everything goes against you. Almost got a point with 9 men, whatever, it's away against an inform Spurs and they only just won.

Move on, this season is going well so far. But need to stop these dumb red cards.

Think will finish 2nd behind City anyway. Considering the midfield rebuild am happy with how it's going so far overall

We were going to lose eventually and in some ways, I don't mind losing when the refs were so against us. Klopp can keep confidence high and keep up that "us against the world" mentality. Remind players they need to be careful but always need to be 100% on it as give anyone an inch and they will rule out a valid goal and give us 2 red cards.

Just need to finish the last two games before the October break with 2 wins. The EL game should be easy enough at Anfield. Brighton won't be easy but they did just get battered this weekend and play Marseilles away in EL on Thursday. No longer the force they once were but still not easy for Brighton to then play us too.

Frankly with the rebuild we did, we're ahead of where I expected us to be. We have already played Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle away from home.

Still fuming about the Spurs game and how it played out.

Cry more bro. Maybe don't do red card challenges and you might actually win Vs the chokers.

First time we have lost at the new Spurs stadium. We've had a good record against them for years (including CL final win).

I think when you have one bad decision, you take it on the chin. When you don't get any 50/50 decisions and 3 poor decisions (Jones, Jota and Diaz goal) and then almost hold out.

That said, if you had offered me 16 points from first 7 games, I would've gladly taken it at the start of the season.

Trying to be nice here, 3rd is progress. I dont give a damn about Liverpool, completely irrelevant to me if you won every CL that Arsenal werent competing for from now till the end of days

My prediction this season however
1) City c.90 points
2)Arsenal c.77 points
3)Liverpool c.75 points
4) Spurs c.70 points

Tbh I think the only reason why you see so many Arsenal/Liverpool comparisons is because they are/have been in a more similar financial position for years. Neither make the money Man Utd do and don't have rich owners/state owned.

Man City are an interesting one.. I usually predict them to score 95+ points but their squad does seem a bit thinner this season compared to the last few years? No doubt now they have the CL monkey off their back, they will start dominating the competition.

I'm presuming the PL will get the 5th league qualifying spot for CL.

Personally I see 2nd and 3rd getting over 80 points. Not sure who though.

Was thinking I'd post my thoughts after the Brighton game when we go into the October international break.

However I'll forget so I'll do it now(!)

The impressive differences after revamping our midfield this summer

- we have legs in midfield and we're not getting overrun anymore. Instead we're dominating other teams
- we seem to have picked up some resilience. Last season if any team gave us a bit of a battle, we lost. This season we've been winning or still fighting to the last minute, even with our 4 red cards this season

I don't think we'll be top/near the top of the fair play league this season..

Has everyone listened to the audio?

Absolute chaos from beginning to end, patting each other on the back for a great process.

Took a replay operator, who has nothing to do with decision making, to try and repeatedly point out that ‘great process’ resulted in an on pitch offside decision being agreed with, despite VAR internally saying it was onside. Just kept talking over him and saying yeah great decision.

Neither VAR nor AVAR actually looking at the match and noticing that Tottenham were taking a kick off from 20 yards within their own half.

Calling each other ‘mate’ and ‘Olly’ smacks of absolute professionalism as well
