yes, you're not far off your grades required for uni, just make sure you have a strong personal statement and you should be able to get offers. good luck!
Possible, although I think optometry tends to be somewhat oversubscribed as with many healthcare professions courses so you may be at a disadvantage by not being predicted the standard entry criteria.

You don't have to submit the application until January though, so maybe talk with your teachers about whether they will consider changing your predictions to AAB if you can show consistent improvement between now and then?

That may be true, but my application is getting sent off sometime this week as I'm also applying for medicine.
(The unis I'm applying to for medicine don't look at predicted grades)
So I'm a bit worried; I've heard some people still get in with being predicted ABB.
But I Don't know how common it is for Aston to offer a place to someone who is one grade below the entry?

Firstly, you don't need to add your non-medicine choice at the same time as your medicine choices. You can send off your medicine application and then add the 5th option later, as long as it's before the January deadline.

Secondly, have you had confirmation from the uni they will accept a medicine personal statement for optometry? Often other allied health professions will not, as they want to see that applicants are specifically aiming towards a career in that profession, not another one with that as a backup.

Anyway it's hard to say for sure but I expect you may be at a disadvantage with predicted grades below the standard criteria for what is often a relatively popular course.

oh okay thx!!

Also, you know how, before you send off your UCAS application to your school, you need to pay, right??
I wanted to know, whether it's possible for whoever has your application at the school to send your application back to you? maybe because you made a mistake or something.
And if so, when you send your application back to the school the second time - do you have to pay again??

thanks

You only pay once as far as I'm aware, I don't really know how it works with applying through a school though as I never did (I always applied independently). You should speak with your school - you may or may not be able to change things; I believe within two weeks of paying and submitting the application you are able to change some things, but maybe not everything? You should aim to ensure the application is complete and correct before submitting it.

so compared to a levels id say that optom is somewhat harder cuz of the workload and the content that you'll be learning.
the workload does increase as you progress through the yrs, as expected, i can say tho that in yr 1 the workload isnt as bad - its more or less the same as yr 13. but once you get into yr 2 (especially if ur doing the 4 yr course) the difference in the amount of stuff you need to eet done can be overwhelming.
the exams are genuienyl not that bad. We get practical assessments like every 2-3 weeks - they assess u on ur practical skills and such and then we get the January exams and the summer exams (normally in march) these exmas are split into MCQ's (multiple choice questions) and SAQ's (short answer questions) - these assess you on every module/theme you've done in that yr.

Hope this helps
