Uni Applications

I've been kind of stuck with what I want to study at university, I am taking psychology, chemistry and history. Does anyone have any ideas of what pathways I could go down and what jobs that could lead too?

Also does anyone have any advice on writing personal statements?

Maybe do a course related to your favourite subject? Or you can do something where you put your subjects into a website and it tells you what are good courses to do and see if you’re interested in any but I’ve forgot what it’s called.

As for personal statement you want to include why you want To do the subject but don’t say that you’ve always been interested in it, talk about something that you’ve seen or read about and why that made you want to study the subject. When talking about a levels you want to include the skills you’ve gained from them and if you’re not sure ask your teachers I’m sure they’d help you. Also add extra/super curricular activities you do/have done and the skills they’ve given you that relate to the course. For your conclusion you can write about what you want to do after uni or what you hope to get from the course, it only needs to be like 2 short sentences

As long as the skills can be related to your chosen course you can write about whatever you want

Some will accept psychology as a second science or don't need a second science, you'd just have to look out for ones you satisfy the requirements for. E.g. from a quick search:

If you have a look on ucas or specific universities websites they should tell you what subjects they require, I just looked at neuroscience at keele, because my friend is applying there, and they accept psychology as a science so you will be able to if that’s what you want to do

Psychology often counts as another science - or some Unis only want one science :

Neuroscience at Bristol - https://bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/2023/neuroscience/
Neuroscience at Sussex - https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/neuroscience-bsc

Pharmacy at Reading - https://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-study/study/subject-area/pharmacy-ug/mpharm-pharmacy
Pharmacy at LJMU - https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/study/courses/undergraduates/2023/pharmacy

Chemistry for Drug Discovery etc at Bath - https://www.bath.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate-2023/chemistry/#course-entries
Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Quen Mary, London - https://www.qmul.ac.uk/undergraduate/coursefinder/courses/2023/pharmaceutical-chemistry/
