I have been waitlisted too, got an email today from there. What does it mean? I think they are trying to accommodate us for the next VI, what do you think? I applied in audit in London.

You're right - we should be glad that at least we're still in the game
Thanks for the positive vibes!

I got an email from a recruitment officer saying that the first launch pad is actually tomorrow and the way it was worded suggested that the next few dates haven't been decided yet.

Don't think we should worry too much. There's a chance we could hear back by the end of the week as they give out offers 2 working days after the launch pads. (Given the first one is tomorrow, they'll roughly know the amount of spaces left by Thursday/Friday. So I actually think we could all get an update by next Monday.)

Hhmm... I also got an email from a recruiter last Tuesday, I emailed him again today after I got successful, to ask him about the future dates.

Hi, you could try emailing them.. but I guess you might have to re-apply. But you can still email KPMG or call them up

Pretty certain you'll have to reapply as it's a separate application cycle i.e you'll have to start from the beginning of the application process.

But defo email to make sure you don't experience the same issue again.

Do you have any advice for the delivering outcomes assessment?

no idea, but I guess they are waiting for the next VI dates to come, before they can accommodate us in one.

I just received an email saying that I've passed the Delivering Outcomes stage, but that there are candidates ahead of the process before I can be invited to the Virtual Launch Pad. Any idea what the chances are of them filling all positions and not progressing? Applied for Tax in London.

It would be about the role you have applied, the questions will be on that, including the video ones and probably 2 written qs.

Thought I'd post a little AC/Launchpad summary:
Basic introduction (not assessed)

Group Task - Split into:
10 min prep time, you won't need this amount of time imo.
20 min group discussion, try and structure this in a way that's conducive to let everyone talk - otherwise you will be seen as not a team player i imagine. But you need to make it known that you are not an idiot and you understand the nuances of the topic at hand. Try to seem like you are actually willing to change your mind.
10 minute reflection, this is essentially just a mini interview where they'll ask you a few questions about you and how you like to work in groups specifically related to the discussion you just did - so long as you did the discussion with a competent group you'll be fine here.

30-40 minute interview, this was honestly quite disappointing as it is essentially a long video interview, with the interviewer having set questions to run through and you only having 2 minutes to answer each. It isn't really interactive at all until you get to ask the interviewer questions. It's quite a quick AC with a lot of time wasting over introductions and discussions, but just make sure you save your focus for the hour or so of actual work you have to do.I won't go into specifics beyond this though for obvs reasons.

How many people were at the VLP and were they all the same service line?

How many qs do you think were there for the long interview ? around 15-20? do you get prep time of one minute before answering?

50 or so. No, but in my breakout group yes.

you are expected to answer straight away, it's a real interview. pausing for thought on occasion is fine but it is a little bit time pressured if you take that many breaks.

I can't answer that lmao, just trust that you won't need to know the answer beforehand

hahah, yeah I can understand. what role did you apply to? was the discussion based on the role? or was it more general? and 50 people from your role?

To anyone told their application is on hold or on a waiting list, I was kept waiting for 6 months for the AC invite which they eventually sent. Hope it eases some worries.

I doubt it'll be 6 months again. The email sent says we'll get some kind of update within 4 weeks.

I'm gonna send an email after 3 weeks have passed if I don't get an update personally.

Last year’s recruitment cycle. Many companies did similarly as well in my experience (Deloitte and BT to name a couple).

Oh wow, that is messed up, did you apply again this year or were you selected it? I guess last year it was due to the pandemic which caused uncertainty.
