# KS3 Transformations watch

1. Question:

Describe the single transformation equivalent to reflection in the line y = x followed by reflection in the line x = 4.

-----

The answer book states:

Rotation 90* anticlockwise about (4,4)

-----

Could someone show me the right direction in approaching this question?
2. draw a graph of y=x and draw the line

take a point e.g. (1,2)

reflect it thru y=x which will give you point two (2,1)

Draw the line x = 4

Reflect point 1 in x=4, which should become (7,2)

draw a line from point (7,2) to (4,4)

measure 90 degrees c.w

this gives you the same point as point (2,1)
