Hi, Im looking for French websites like the French version of OK! magazine or something, or websites with short stories on them that are *fairly* simple. Im at Higher level at the moment so I'm ok but I've got a French book at home that's waaay out of my league...so I'll need something that's maybe Harry Potter level Even poems and things would be good.
And if anybody knows of any Spanish ones too, I'm at Int 2 for that so a lot simpler lol

I have got Harry Potter in French, and the only way I can read it is through memory of the English one! (AH level now - tho having said that, I haven't read it in a year or two so maybe it's time for another go...)
I know you're looking for reading, but this podcast is good for listening: http://www.onethinginafrenchday.com/...&post_month=12
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/news/ is also ok
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/frenc...anguage_focus/ is useful
as is http://www.wildfrench.co.uk/Year11.html
learning teaching scotland has a couple of practice papers
http://www.bbc.co.uk/french/ has relevant world news in french

had a look round my files and found these sites:
some may be a tad basic depending on your level, but every little practice helps!
if anyone you know is going to France, get them to bring you back a magazine, or alternatively buy one from Borders or an airport (though they will be more expensive there). just watch out for the middle section of French mags!

higher french reading is pretty easy. if i was you, by all means practice a bit with reading, but spend a bit more time on directed writing, listening, and that listening response essay.
directed writing is the single worst thing i have ever experienced. if i got a decent mark for it in the exam, no idea how i did.
