Did you do the 9th question part a, the trigonometric proof question? All of my collegues and me found it hard and no one had proved it. :frown:

The question was;

(9)(a) Prove that,

cos2θcos2θsin3θ1+sinθ4sin2θ2sinθ1\dfrac{\cos^2\theta}{\cos2\theta-\sin3\theta}\equiv\dfrac{1+\sin\theta}{4\sin^2\theta-2\sin\theta-1}

The question was;

(9)(a) Prove that,

cos2θcos2θsin3θ1+sinθ4sin2θ2sinθ3\dfrac{\cos^2\theta}{\cos2\theta-\sin3\theta}\equiv\dfrac{1+\sin\theta}{4\sin^2\theta-2\sin\theta-3}

oh...I am relieved, this is one of the questions I couldn't carry through. There were 2 trig identities proofs and I couldn't t manage to do either to the end. I thought it was only me, but I am happy that everyone found it hard :smile:

I think the Edexcel Oct 2022 IAL's release date is tomorrow (12 Jan), for candidates, not sure about graded boundaries though, perhaps they'll be releasing them tomorrow as well
Yeah, confirmed, I just received the results, so you should be getting yours today as well, good luck!
