Resit for medicine 2023 do you have to resit practical too?

I’m resitting my exams because I think I could do a lot better with another chance.

I’m self studying this time because my sixth form I attended wasn’t great at support and it was mostly a waste of time. Im going to book the exams and do them but you have to pay like £1000 extra for biology and chemistry each to redo the practical endorsement.

I’ve already passed them this year but it’s just the grades that I need so would I be able to just take the exam and not redo the practical endorsement?
(Since I’ve already passed them) and put both qualifications into UCAS? It could save me a lot of money lol.
I think if you've passed the science endorsement you don't need to retake it - might be worth contacting the medical schools you plan to apply to in order to confirm though, as I've not actually seen this mentioned before and it's a good point!

So far I’ve emailed Bristol and they said I can just retake the exams and not the practical if I’ve already passed it!! Yay !!

Just hoping it’s the same for the others

The practical element is carried over if you’ve passed provided you stick with the same exam board

As long as you sit with the same exam board you’re fine.

If you passed the practicals in your first sitting, I do not know of anywhere that makes you resit them
