I read that people won't be allowed to apply for student finance because the government are going to change the system. What are people without enough money supposed to do?

The capped tuition fees end 2010 so not sure whats happening then for new students. But I don't think they will stop loans.

    Where was this 'read'?

The plan was to open them in September rather than the following March/April like they normally do but as usual the SLC have screwed up and it looks like they will be opening around the normal time maybe a little earlier.

So you will be able to apply just not yet.

They're only changing the system on which you apply from, the loans and grants etc. aren't going to be affected, it just means you can't apply earlier than usual
