Has anyone received an Economics offer yet?

I have seen Econs being offered. What's not known is whether the person is an Oxbridge applicant or not, and if this made a difference in the early offer.

Anyone heard back for Computer Science yet?

CS has also been offered. Similar to my post above, the applicant could be an Oxbridge applicant. Can't be sure with these things.

I'm in the same boat , i'm guessing they're just going to wait for the January applicants before giving out offers for discrete

i've heard other people get offers so v frustrating lol since i want the offer to avoid applying to safeties abroad

I think for the competitive courses like Economics, PPE and Computer Science the ones who have received an offer so far are either contextual or have applied with achieved A level grades. Mathematics possibly is different as entry requirements are A*A*A*.
Just because you’ve applied by the Oxbridge deadline doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve applied to Oxbridge. I know many who applied before 15th October who haven’t applied to Oxbridge. And other universities won’t know where else you’ve applied until you firm and insure.

Oh really? That's not reassuring, because I applied to Cambridge as well :/

Really do not worry about who else is and isn't getting an offer at this point. As another poster has already said, they can't know who applied to Oxbridge, so that is 100% not part of their decision.

There are so many factors that influence offer speed, and since you can never know what all of these are or the exact situation of every other applicant you hear about, it is pointless trying to compare or make guesses based on others. You'll just cause yourself unnecessary added stress!

Best of luck to you all, and remember than an offer is an offer whether it comes in October or May.

Someone from my school got an Economics offer from Warwick and they were not an Oxbridge applicant, but they did submit their UCAS relatively early

They may be contextual. I know it’s hard not to, I too am waiting to hear from them, but try not to stress too much. In past years there are many applicants who have had offers in March/April. Not hearing means they are still considering your application.

I got an offer from discrete a couple weeks after applying, I'm contextual if that matters.

Recieved an offer today for Accounting and Finance! I applied in mid nov (Nov 16th). Did not apply to oxbridge and I am not contextual. Posting this as a reference for others so hope it helps!

Can I ask if you know anyone who did law - when the offers start coming through please (home, non-contextual)?

Just noticed this thread so thought I would make a post. I am a Warwick maths applicant and received my offer about a month and a half ago - after my shambolic Cambridge interview today, I'm 90% sure Warwick is going to be my firm choice so with some luck with my a-level results, I look forward to meeting some of you!

Thanks! Well done on your offer . My daughter has applied for Law with French Law.
