does warwick usually write an email saying that applications are being processed? i only received an email back saying that my application was received but nothing since then unlike the other unis i applied to - is this normal?

i had a confirmation email in January after i applied and not much else until April when they gave me an offer. Don’t worry if you don’t hear anything, it’s different for every uni

Hey, I’m waiting for Warwick to make a decision for PPL it’s been over 6 weeks, how long did they take for you?

Last year when i applied in January it took until April for the offer, don’t look too much into it if they’re taking ages

Does anyone know when the PPE offer holder days are? I applied in October (early entrant) and am still waiting to hear. I really hope all those waiting hear soon and in time for the offer holder days

All 4 of us in my school heard back a month ago and we applied in September so your decision should come soon.
The email says offer holder days for ppe start from February, but I’m guessing there will be a few dates anyways

Course: Computer Science
Subjects: Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science (A*A*A* predicted, ahhh) + A* EPQ (about Game Design lol)
Why Warwick: Excellent graduate prospects and cool game design community

I'm in a wacky situation because I'm foreign and will have lived in the UK for 6 years by the time the course starts, but I'm still liable for international fees :s-smilie:
Anyhow, I'm applying for the WUGES because that's the only way I would be able to afford Warwick, but I'm really nervous about not making my application or PS good enough to get anywhere, and I haven't heard back from Warwick; Computer Science is scarily competitive.

Does anyone have reassuring advice and/or experience with WUGES?

Warwick seems fairly inconsistent. I applied mid-December and have not heard back yet for Computer Science. I have A*A*A* predicted grades in maths, further maths and comp sci, so they don't seem to prioritise people with just good grades :frown:

It took forever for me to get a response. I got an offer for Computer Science last week with an A*A*A* prediction and I applied on the 13th October. I do Maths, Comp Sci and physics. So you might just have to wait a bit.

Although I have no idea about WUGES don't worry about them not having responded yet. I applied in October and only got an offer last week so they do take their time responding and also I don't do further maths or an EPQ so like you don't have to worry about your grades and if you've put enough effort into your ps and it's been read by your teachers and they say it's good you shouldn't have much of an issue just be a bit more patient.

That's reassuring, thank you. I modified my PS many times so it definitely wouldn't be from lack of effort. Congrats on the offer! Are you planning on firming Warwick?

Still not too sure, as I'm still waiting for Imperial which I probably don't want to go to but I'm still deciding as I have offers from Edinburgh and Bristol. Might be leaning to Edinburgh which I applied to do a joint couse in CS and Physics.

Thank you for your reply and congratulations. Please can I ask you what your predicted grades are and if you’re contextual? I have heard of a few more getting PPE offers today and they’re all predicted all A*s.

Ahh im A*A*A*A and contextual, my friends doing ppe as well are predicted around the same (lowest like A*A*A) but they’re non contextual
Sorry this doesn’t really help as it’s similar to what you’ve already seen so far

What’s your Warwick offer? And are those offers at UCL and LSE for PPE?
I will firm Warwick if they offer me.
