Well here we go. Ive broken my nose playing rugby and im going to an ENT specialist on monday 6 days after i broke it so the swelling has all gone now. Its not that noticable but there is abit of a dent in the left hand side of it. I dont know what to expect really.

I want him to just push it to the left so it looks a little less sloped. im deffo not getting any surgery on it. I am half tempted to do it myself but every1 keeps telling me to let the profesional do it. I kinda like it, its abit more rugged than before but i want it back to normal soon. What do you recon they will do to me? If i tell him to just fix it then and there will he do it? I dont care if its gunna hurt, it cant hurt anymore than the first time can it! I can feel some give in the nose if you know what i mean.

Ive attached a picture. I have abit of a black eye still but its nearly gone thank god.

WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN? has anyone else been through this before.

Letting it heal incorrectly will most likely exacerbate any aesthetic problems.

He'll have (or want) to put it back properly, and I suggest you go along with what is required!

Fit bod  But the black eye, erm, not so keen on :p:

I wouldn't even notice there was anything wrong with your nose tbh.. but defo let a professional at it, as opposed to your own handywork!

Just out of interest, how did you break it in rugby? Did you sub or play on?

I broke mine in a rugby match a couple of years ago, I did a fantastic try saving tackle from behind on a guy that was otherwise through, but I tackled him hard enough he kind of cartwheeled backwards in midair, smacking into my nose at the last second. Knocked forward too so we got the scrum. And I played on. But it hurt like a *****. I got slightly concussed too I think from the collision, I remember thinking to myself after we'd won the game if I should kill one of my teammates and steal his waterbottle, because I was so thirsty. Bizarre, as I should have just asked him but I wasn't thinking rationally at all.

But in the end, my nose got sorted.

Nothing beats the feeling of that kind of tackle.

On a turnover they splayed it to their wide-man and I was the only one covering the wing on my team. I knew he wouldn't try to go around me so I had to make the tackle or concede the score. I didn't even move towards him, just got my stance and looked hard lol. He comes slamming into me at full pelt and I didn't move an inch. It was like he hit a wall, could feel him bouncing off of me. Got my arms round his waist and hoisted him into the air a little, then semi-slammed him lol.

Got the biggest cheer of the night and that brilliant noise where everyone vocalises 'Holy crap that bloke just got nailed.'

And I can't remember anything for the rest of the night after that. My parents picked me up and apparently all the way home I asked the same question over and over again, never remembering their answer.

    Great times.

Sounds like you had a hell of a game.

I was in a ruck and somebody put there knee into my eye socket and hit my nose. I couldnt play on because of all the blood but i got on for the last 10 mins and then was rushed of to A and E

    Man points.:yep:
