Civil service vetting waiting time 2022

Hi, I just want to find out what is the current waiting time for vetting? I have been waiting for almost 14 weeks now and have yet to receive any update from my department. Should I continue to wait and hope that they will get back to me soon? Or should I just move on and find another job? Many thanks.

14 weeks is a long time to wait with no update. Is there any way to make a casual enquiry with the department as to how much longer it might take?

Hi, I did query someone about it, but they also didn't receive any updates and didn't know when the check would be completed. The waiting is just so frustrating and stressful.

Depending on level it is taking up to six months to process CTC / SC clearances. Baseline is easy and a couple of weeks to a month, CTC is also relatively quick but SC can take up to six months. eSC and beyond can take up to a year.
