Reasons to study Diagnostic Radiography

Diagnostic Radiography (or Medical Imaging) is the practice of using various forms of radiation to produce high-quality images which aid in the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of injury or disease.

Here's some info on our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography course, accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Society of Radiographers.

Placement
The clinical element of the programme has been designed with imaging service providers to reflect the modern 24/7 nature of health care and give you the best possible clinical education.

Placements are, in the main, provided in the imaging departments of NHS hospital Trusts throughout the West Yorkshire area.

Facilities
Students have access to our fully functioning X-ray imaging suite and PACS suite. Check out our facilities from the comfort of your own home by using our Virtual Experience.

Career prospects
Grads have the potential to progress to Advanced and Consultant Practitioner status.

You may choose to specialise in a particular imaging technique such as nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography or ultrasound, or a particular area such as paediatrics, gastrointestinal or vascular and interventional imaging.

"At the University of Bradford, we provide students with an authentic learning experience through practice based scenarios, problem solving, critical thinking, and technology enhanced learned to enrich the academic experience."

Lecturer David Omiyi explains why you should study Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Bradford.
