Personal Statement Services

All,

Is anyone aware of personal statement writing service or a university application mentorship/consultancy? To be clear, not looking to pay for someone to write my personal statement, I fully intent to do all the work myself but are folks aware of companies that can help review and guide me on my personal statement and overall application process?

I have already come across oxbridge personal statements.com but not heard great things about them (also, they offer a write for you service which I am not looking for).

TSR has a reviewing service where you can submit your PS to them for reviewing, though I'm not fully sure on the details of how it works.

As mentioned, you can post your PS on the safe and private forum on TSR by creating a new thread in this subforum: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1372 . Only trained ained and vetted reviewers can see what's in there, so no one can/will steal your statement, and it doesn't get flagged/cached by the UCAS plagiarism checker. It's free to use but because it's run by volunteers, there is over-demand and it's under-staffed. The earlier before your own deadline you can submit it here, the more likely you will get an expert review in time :yep:

DO NOT post any parts of your statement in the open TSR forums though :eek:

Old thread, but just to note that Oxbridge expressly tells people not to use these services as they don’t have access to any info you can’t find out yourself.

Coached statements are universally terrible.

Edit: I'm referring to paid services, not the TSR one :smile:
