You applied for Houses of Parliament, which is less than 1/1000 applicants get a position. You applied for Diplomatic Service, which is 1/500. You applied for Social Research, which is less than 1/150. Generalist, you might still be in the running for, but because you applied for 3 of the most competitive(Which all approve less than the top 1% of applicants), it is highly unlikely you made it through for 3 of them with 2 averages.

But well done in choosing the 3 hardest schemes to get in to! That sort of self-esteem deserves applause.

My man, just because you are thinking something doesn’t mean you are obligated to type it up and post it online. Some thoughts can just remain thoughts.

Also two averages? I thought she got one average and 3 above average’s.
For those who have got to the additional info stage, did this appear on your application or just via email?
Anyone else got to the additional stages yet? I got through for finance, GES, project delivery and commercial but I'm having problems opening the document linking the questions to the Government Economic Service. I emailed the fast stream on the 26th but havent had a reply yet and I need to submit by the 2nd ☺. Unlikely I will get a reply now.

Is there anyone else who has had this problem or anyone that can tell me what the question was for the GES?

I got an email and my application changed.

Did you get above average for any others with the average one? Or were the rest strong alignment? And how long did you have to wait before getting through?

Oh I messed up on SJT because I should have got upper range for that, did the HMRC Tax application last year and got that, normally get highest range on every SJT test I do, however decided to do this one at 4am....

Hey, do you have any advice on how to score higher on SJT, like online practice questions and where to find them, etc?
has anyone whos applying for the SIP gotten to the extra info stage yet?
Anyone else done the online test and are still waiting? I did mine on 17th dec

Have you done the SJT already?
What did you apply for and what were your scores if you don't mind me asking please?

I applied for generalist, HoP, GSR and GSS.
My scores were:
WSQ 1 - strongly aligned
SJQ - above average
Numerical - above average
WSQ 2 - above average

I’m reasonably confident I got through to the WBS round for generalist and GSS at least. Just waiting for the email to come through.

I applied for diplo, HR, PD and generalist and my scores were:
WSQ 1: mostly aligned
SJQ: above average
Numerical: above average
WSQ 2: above average

If anything is going to let me down it will be the WSQ 1 but I hope I’ve done enough to get through for at least PD and generalist

I managed to get above average on the SJT and used the civil service behaviours and strengths (the ones shown on the job description) to guide what answers i picked - https://www.faststream.gov.uk/how-to-apply/index.html , https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/717275/CS_Behaviours_2018.pdf

Any tips for the LA? Was a nightmare for me last year.

I've applied for:

1. HR
2. Generalist
3. Project Delivery
4. Diplomatic and Development

Initial tests:

WSQ1: strong alignment
SJQ: above average
Numerical: good capability/higher than majority
WSQ2: upper range

Work-based scenarios:

Case Study: same range as most others
Learning: higher than majority

Any tips for the Learning Assessment please? Was a nightmare last year.
I was a silly billy and applied for HoP as first choice. I also applied for Generalist, Project Delivery and HR.

I did the tests as soon as they came out on the 8th and got:
WSQ - Mostly Aligned
SJT - Above Average
Numerical - Higher than Majority
WSQ2 - Average

I haven't had the WBSs unlock yet but I think I probably will get through, maybe not for HoP though

GL to everyone
