I might be looking for a new graphics card in the near future.

I currently have an 8800GTS 320mb, what would be the best upgrade for up to £150?

My motherboard is an Asus P5K.

hmm, I'm not sure on this one, I know its pushing the upper limit of you're budget.

Sapphire cards tend to be slightly cheaper.

is as cheap as I can find, so a 4850 would be better suited to your budget.

You can pick up a HD 4850 for about £115. Ive got one and its great !
Handles Crysis on High very well. The HD 4870 is a good choice also.

How much ram do you have ? Prehaps it might be better to go for HD 4850 and some RAM rather than just the HD 4870

2gb.

I'll likely be waiting for a sale/price drop anyway so I won't rule out the 4870.

2GB is fine, but RAM is pretty cheap atm, you prehaps you shuould also upgrade to 4gb

Yeah, wait till after christmas time as there should be a price drop, as a newer model (5850 and 5870) are coming out within the next 6 months I think

Also, how big is the card compared to the 8800GTS?

It's just I've not got a huge amount of room length-wise for much bigger.

Similar.

I would recommend the 4850 as well...
