if the relative molecular mass of an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate (MHCO3) is 146.48g mol-1, what is the alkali metal M?
As you know the total molecular mass of hydrogen carbonate (MHCO3) which is 146.48, calculate the molecular mass of the known elements given. Add the mass of HCO3 and subtract it from the total mass of the whole MHCO3. The mass of of HCO3 is going to be 1+12+(16x3)=61. Then 146.48-61= 85.48~ 85.5 Then plot it on the periodic table. And you will come to know it’s Rubidium( RB).
