Hi guys

Not wanting to hijack the other thread so thought Id start this one.
Basically why do so many people get great control on the pump?

Also in the other thread I read something about "beta cells"- now I thought I was well-versed in diabetes in general but I havent a clue what this means?

Beta cells are the cells in your pancreas that produced insulin before your body decided it was a good idea to attack them and greatly improve the quality of your life.

I guess with pumps you have a constant infusion of insulin where the rate can be instantly changed, so you just turn it up when you eat and have a low rate of infusion when you don't.

They are like gold dust in the UK though.
