Btw, does anyone know anything about the UCL MSci psychology program? I applied knowing that there are very limited spaces compared to the Bsc one, and I’m starting to regret risking my ucas choice. I love the MSci course yet it’s so competitive! Just curious to know, but will ucl be generous enough to still give me a Bsc psych offer if I eventually didn’t make it to the MSci one? Thanks!

I noticed there are no threads for Psychology applicants 2023, so here we go!
What universities did you apply for?
Which ones are your favourite?
My daughter applied for Southampton (offer), Royal Holloway (offer), Nottingham, Aberdeen and Exeter (nothing yet).
I’m also a Psychology teacher (IB) if you have questions about the subject 😊

Hello! I’m kinda late to this thread but I’m an international psychology applicant. Submitted my ucas application on the 13th Oct to: Oxford EP (interviews done!), UCL MSci (pending), Bath psych with placement (offer on 24/11), Exeter psych with placement (offer on 18/10), St. Andrews Bsc psych (offer on 2/12). Wish all of you good luck!!

I had 2 interviews, each 20 min with Emma. Good luck to us both!

Hello Bubbles! Good to see you again, I’ve finally got off the anonymous setting but I’m the one who communicated with u in the other bath application thread (we both got bath psy offers on the same day and applied to ucl!) I’m lucky enough to get an interview offer from Oxford EP and ngl it went terrible, how was yours? Wishing you the best of luck on 10th Jan as I’m not really hopeful… I want to ask for UCL did u apply the msci course or just the Bsc one?
Hi everyone! Good luck with all of your applications/interviews - I'm a current undergraduate Psychology student at Lancaster University, so if any of you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Hi Everyone!

I've just finished studying my Psychology course at Arden and had a really great time. I've been a qualified teacher in the social sciences for 10 years and I was impressed with both the teaching and also the VLE (virtual learning environment). It felt a really modern experience with the option to do blended learning or 100% online. The courses are fully accredited with the BPS https://arden.ac.uk/our-courses/undergraduate/psychology-degrees/bsc-hons-psychology-bps

If you are not familiar with Arden, check out their QAA report (a bit like Ofsted) and also the Teaching Excellence Framework Report (both readily available online)

Hi there @emsxch! Yes, I remember you! I don't think any of these interviews are meant to be a walk in the park, and I wish you the best of luck on results day! I know you will know on 10th Jan but I won't know my offer outcome until 25th Jan coz I applied to Cambridge. I felt my interviews were intense and the questions were tough. Re UCL, I applied to the MSci course because of the 4th year placement (Bath's placement is in 3rd year). What about you?

Warwick received my application on 6th Oct. Email acknowledgment from Warwick came on 7th Oct. Offer was on 26th Oct.

I know it's always anxious waiting for an offer but there is no fixed pattern in which the universities are going to respond. A friend applied to Warwick for Law, and it has been a month since and she has not heard back. The positive take-away from here is my friend is still in their consideration.

I’ve applied for Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Warwick and Exeter - only Cardiff replied with an offer of AAA and its making me nervous because it’s high and I took english literature and its not going well

Gosh, I just realised I had missed your post and the fact that both of us had applied to the same course. Sorry!

Hi! Thanks for your question! If you're applying for BSc Psychology degree (this is the course that I am on), I didn't have an interview, so I'm afraid I'm not sure about what questions there would be. Lancaster still doesn't do interviews for Psychology. In case you have any further questions regarding this, feel free to contact this email address, and they can let you know: [email protected]

Or feel free to post it here!

I hope this helps!

Hey! How long did it take for York to get back to you? (And if its not too personal, what kinds of grades did you apply with + what grades are they asking for in the offer?) Congrats, btw

No problem! I was super lucky with York in the fact that I applied on the 13th Nov and heard back on the 18th Nov. It must've been on top of a random pile that got selected to read through that day by the admission office, as my friend applied earlier than me and is still waiting. I applied with A*A*A*(+A* in EPQ) (biology, psychology, geography) and got an AAB offer as long as I get A/A* in my EPQ and an A in a science (so either bio or psych!).

Woah... that's impressive! Everyday I regret dropping my EPQ more and more :s-smilie:

I applied right before the 15th October, they've also viewed mine on their portal like before the Christmas holidays but I don't know what that means
