It must be disappointing not to get into Kings. Many Russel Group unis have very limited places this year, and likely for the next couple of years, for various reasons. Sometimes it's helpful to think about things a different way. If you look at a universities research credentials in Psychology - there are unis outside of this group with excellent psychology research departments. Don't forget that you can always use UCAS Xtra or Clearing to secure a place at a non Russel uni which will have more flexibility around student numbers for this year and the foreseeable. You might also want to consider other factors in your choice, such as quality of teaching and size of student cohort. Many big city unis will not be able give you the support that smaller uni's can to complete your studies, city based uni's like Kings will also be expensive to attend due to location and you may end up living a long way out from the uni. so, lots to consider. Good luck :-)

Can anyone advise whether UCL Undergraduate Psych students have access to the IOE and its facilities? On Open day we just saw a reception and a lecture theatre in Bedford Way, no other facilities. Just wondered where Psychology students hang out in between lectures? The course sounds amazing but as a commuter where do you go for Uni social life? Thankyou

Mustn't confuse with decisions from other faculties and/or courses. I don't think there have been many offers for Psych.

Congrats - that’s a really pleasant problem to have!

From what I see, LSE is less traditional due to the behavioural science component and elective opportunities plus the degree itself is much newer (launched in 2018 so only 2 graduating classes so far). Cohort is also small (40+ per year) & LSE is very much a specialist social sciences institution. Their department instagram is excellent so check it out - especially the undergrad takeover in the highlights.

My feel is that UCL is more orthodox/linear in its approach which could appeal to those who already have their psych careers mapped out. It’s also much bigger than LSE and I imagine the alumni network would be a significant advantage if you plan to go into research.

Bottom line? It really depends on you - which one is a better fit for you - academically, socially and professionally.

I’d love to hear what your thoughts are too?

I see how the main problem with lse is that the course just started not too long ago, everything is fresh. However will there be a great difference for undergrads? Cos i feel the advantages of ucl will only appear during postgrads.

Nvr even dream of LSE offer HAHA, was just trying to strike the lottery. Now giving me headache choosing.

Rly appreciate the offer and dont wan to give up the spot in lse also cos i know a lot of ppl wants to go but dont have the chance
