Yeah, I got this too. I applied quite close to the original deadline however so I was told I'd be notified by 6th January. I'm guessing there are multiple groups and/or it's based on the scheme. I applied for the Technology scheme.

same here I got

What scheme did you apply for?

I applied for commercial banking and chose a specific location when submitting my application.

Haha well it could be a nice surprise when you get sent out to Timbuktu

When I check the status of my application it says where I've applied in the job title so might do for you as well?

I wonder if for the graduate scheme salary is the same across all locations like London and other regional? Surely London should be higher due to obvious reasons but it didn't say the salary will differ. Maybe it's best just to stick to regional office location then?

The one I applied for says “range” is 42k and that’s the only figure it shows, I’m guessing that’s over the two years because it seems quite high for the area I want to work. But then again if it is spread over the two years then it seems too low for London

Yep for a regional role 42k for first year on graduate scheme is A LOT even some grad schemes in London just about offer 32k, if it is 42k fixed for the two years then makes sense why its high but would be low for London indeed unless they increase it per year around a 2-3k

42k is about equal to what 28k in Manchester would get you pre Tax. That is absolutely not a low salary and it’s completely plausible to live comfortably - most grad salaries in london are in the 30k range (which I would defo say is more of a challenge to live on as a single professional)

I think you may have read my comment wrong. I’m saying 42k over the course of two years is low for London. So I’m saying 21k is low for london. Totally agree that 42k is not low at all which is why it’s kinda hard to believe it’s that much for one year

Oh I thought you meant if its 42k per year fixed for the grad scheme. In that case no it is 42k per year yes no way it will be 21k that's not low at all. Generally per year grad schemes increase the salary so was expecting 42k to be increased by a few k at least after the first year unless it only increases after grad scheme
