The "Music Theory in Practice" books that the ABRSM publish basically have all the syllabus + a load of example questions in. The AB guide probably has all the material in, but isn't exactly pedagogically designed to walk you through the exam. So get the practise book.

But the easiest way really is to just understand the material then take the test. It's not like you have to know a lot. Grade 5 just signifies a basic acquaintance with notational conventions, IIRC.

Hi! There are lots of resources around on the web. My fave is www.mymusictheory.com - the lessons cover everything and are easy to follow and best of all they are free. I havent found any other sites which are just for the grade exams and not theory in general so this one's great!

    Through interpretive dance!

Lol, no seriously, just get the guide man.
Learn it like a school subject and do some past papers.
