Graduating with a Third and how to recover

Hi, it's my first time posting so I hope this is the right form. I mostly just want advice on what I can do now to recover from my bad grade.

Short version: I graduated with a Third class 2 months ago (had a bunch of them) and taking the year out to work. I want to apply for a master's in Germany but I'm worried that because of my grade I won't get accepted by any university and want to know what I can do to help make myself more likely to get accepted and recover from a bad grade.
Long version: My dream right now is to study quantum technology for a master's or medical physics in Germany (or anywhere abroad). During my last year of uni, I struggled ALLOT with my personal life, ill spare the details but it meant I had to do all my deadlines and exams this august and was capped at 40% for everything. I, therefore, graduated with a Third-class honour in September. I've been trying to apply to places all over the Uk this past month for work/work experience, but I get rejected 70% of the time just cause of grades and I can't get onto any graduate schemes because of it. I'm scared as hell about uni and being rejected everywhere. I know I'm capable and I've only been trying this past month, but I'm lost about what I should be doing. is there anything I can do to increase my chances or any way I can show I can get a higher grade? Regrettably, I didn't do any internships during my study, so I'm lost about what to do.

First thing is to recognise what’s done is done, you have the grades you’ve got and no way to change them.

No idea about how it works in Germany, but I would guess it’ll probably be similar to the Uk this case, where you’re grades solely, just wouldn’t make you a strong candidate sadly to get into postgrad study. Saying that, if h there is a way to try to explain what’s happened and they may take that into consideration. It might be worth contacting the universities ahead, and getting their thoughts on the best way to go about it.

Given the topic too, I feel a lot might rely on your grades and academic history compared to some other areas.

Best thing to do would be to build your work experience, ideally in the area you would like to have a career or pursue further. These too might be tricky to get with grades and your job history atm, so it really about how you present yourself in job apps (supporting statements, CV, interview etc). Again, maybe worth explaining where you can and where it would be jsejf to unclear

Personally, I would say work on building
experience but be aware it’ll probably take longer than a year to put you in a competitive place for post grad study. Talk to your tutors/supervisors too, they may have suggestions on what to do, experience tcry
