Now I'm crunched

Im a bit lost now. Been laid off as a result of the credit crunch (was employed in a construction company) now obviously my experience is all property related, no one in the industry s hiring!

So what should I do?

I have a flat which I have to pay for, I have no job to pay for the rent, I can claim benefits but that still wont cover my overheads.

Big companies take so long to recruit graduates too so by the time I get hired - if I beat the competition it wont be until like january.

I know this sounds ****, but its worth singing up with every recruitment agency you can, just find some work for now. Anything is better than nothing, there is no harm in finding a job in your industry while working maybe ina call center or anything. Benefits wont help you much really, if you have direct debits they dont really take them into account when handing you out money
