PPE at York or SOAS 2023

I have received offers for PPE 2023 from York and SOAS. Could you compare employability in England between these two courses?
Some said York PPE is very well established course. Some said SOAS is in London ( also part of University of London) and close to other Universities such as LSE, UCL etc and may have more access to job opportunities. However, SOAS economics is not very good and mainly focus on Asian/African economics- eg development economics and may not get a job in banking, financial sector etc . I was told SOAS is facing financial crisis post pandemic.
thanks
SOAS's financial crisis was pre-pandemic and they've restructured (again, pre-pandemic) to deal with that (which is why half the specialist language degrees they do were cut in favour of generic degrees in business and management and stuff...).

In any case, employability between the two would be the same. Neither investment banking jobs nor other finance jobs require or even benefit from having done an economics degree. The content is by and large completely unrelated - it's economic theory, not solving the black-scholes equation. UK employers do not care where you studied (or usually, what) with the exception of investment banking roles which look for graduates from "target universities". Neither SOAS nor York are target unis as far as I'm aware, except for SOAS masters courses I think for a couple of banks.

So pick whichever one you actually like the course for better.
thanks. Which ones are target universities apart from Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL, Warwick, Durham?

Imperial probably. You'd be best off looking at the investment banking forum here as they discuss that constantly...
