Failed resit in optional module postgraduate

I am a postgraduate student of De Montfort University. Unfortunaly I failed a resit in the optional module. I have 9 modules in my course including the dissertation and the optional module. I have passed all the core modules so far. I have also passed the first part of my dissertation which carries 20% weightage. The second part I am about to submit in January.
All my module marks are as follows:
Module 1 - 52
Module 2 - 52
Module 3 - 59
Module 4 - 59
Module 5( optional one) - 48
Module 6 - 54
Module 7 - 65
Module 8 - 52
Module 9 (Dissertation first part) - 52
According to the marks which I got so far will university consider my case to pass me the optional module as its very close to pass. I need suggestions. Thanks in advance.

An anonymous user posted almost exactly the same question last week here, but without the breakdown of module-level scores.

As I said to that user, De Montfort's Academic Regulations for Taught Programmes, here, says "Compensation is not available on postgraduate programmes." (Section 2 Paragraph 27) This is re-enforced in the introduction to Section 4, Awards, which says, "Credits are awarded by passing modules or to compensate for a marginal fail (undergraduate programmes only)." So, according to these regulations, that won't be able to just treat this fail as a pass because it was almost a pass.

Furthermore, they say in Paragraph 37 in Section 2 that, "On postgraduate programmes, including level 7 of integrated master’s programmes, students may be reassessed once in each module." That would also appear to preclude the option of substituting a different module for the failed module (see Paragraph 54 in Section 2) as that is only available to a student "who has assessment opportunities remaining", which you appear to not have.

Given that you failed both the first attempt and the resit attempt, it's not clear what options are available to you. I suggest you contact your module leader or the relevant Student Advice Centre for further guidance. (The list of Student Advice Centres is on their web site here.)

It might also be worth adding up the number of credits associated for each module (counting Module 5 as zero credits) and comparing this with the table in Paragraph 80 in Section 4, and it details the minimum number of credits required for each award.
