Hamas

Is Hamas a terrorist group or, like Mad Caddie, do you believe that they are militants fighting for a "good cause. I have more respect for Hamas then I do for the IDS. Hamas, IMO, has good intentions and it's struggle is with reason."

Hamas - an outlawed terrorist group according to the UN, the EU and the United States. The Hamas Charter declares the goal of the terrorist group to be,

"to implement Allah's promise, whatever time that may take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said: "The Day of Judgment will not come about until the Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them), until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: Oh Muslim! Oh Abdullah!, there is a Jew behind me, come on and kill him. Only the Gharqad tree would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews."

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."

Hamas has claimed responsibility for 425 terrorist attacks of various kinds, in which 377 men, women and children were murdered and 2,076 civilians and soldiers were wounded

Mad Caddie deems this cause to be a reasonable or justified.

Do you agree with Mad Caddie's statement below?

"I have more respect for Hamas then I do for the IDS. Hamas, IMO, has good intentions and it's struggle is with reason. The IDS/Israeli government is slaughtering civillians and ownly serves to protect and promote itself. "

IDF - The Israeli Defence Force is the national army of Israel.

No, Hamas are terrorists who would love nothing more then to kill every single israeli. How can you agree with that?

I agree that Hamas are a terrorist organisation and where I have a lot of sypathy for the palistinian cause this does not include the actions of Hamas. However I can see Mad caddies point, I am not too keen on the IDS either.

About his dislike for the IDS. However the original question asked whether I thought hamas were a terrorist group and I do.

i dont really think this needs discussion. anyone arguing they arent a terrorist group isn't talking sense.

indeed. it makes perfect sense.
hamas like the usa has good features and bad

Providing health care and education is important and good, killing people is bad. Not everything in life is black or white. :rolleyes:

Exactly. The likes of vienna like to gloss over this fact. Hamas are a far cry from the likes of Al-Queda. They do give much to their communities, which is the basis of the popular support for them.
But yes, i cannot condone their attacks on israeli civilians.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
In the bigger picture, if we all stop jumping on the popular bandwagon, Isreal uses state terrorism.

The topic is nothing to do with whether you believe Israel hunts down and kills little children or not, it asks whether you recognise the actions and existence of Hamas to be one of a terrorist group.

Utterly disgusting that you cannot offer any differences between the United States and Hamas.

Again, I dont really see what the problem is in stating whether you believe Hamas to be a terrorist group or not. Hamas practically invented Islamic terrorism that Al-Qaeda now replicates.

I have answered this in the poll. I notice you have made the poll public, no doubt to ridicule and spit your venom at anyone who dares disagree...

Do you also care to supply us with the figures for the hundreds (if not thousands) of civillians, as well as militants, which the IDS has slaughtered?

Mad Caddie deems this cause to be a reasonable or justified.

Indeed he does. He finds this cause more noble than that of the Israeli government.

Agreed:

Hamas = fighting for cause
US = fighting for power/oil/money

Hamas = Noble cause with intentions of Palestinians at heart.
US = Only seeks to gain greater wealth etc, and power, without justified or legitimate intentions.

Are you kidding me? You find a group that would like to commit genocide noble?

No, just people with personal chips on shoulder.

Why, the poll and thread has nothing to do with casualties of IDF policy.

What is the cause of the Israeli government?

I'm glad we agree that genocide isn't noble, because, at the rate the Israelis are going, the Palestinians will be wiped out by genocide.
