The Student Room Group

The people who provide this are usually called

Nurses working in hospital's are generally graded as " ward sister, ward manager, charge nurse, staff nurses, healthcare assistant, auxiliary nurses and then you'll have any student nurses.
There's no one to one nursing except usually in the likes of any oncology wards when the patient is unfortunate not got long to go
If someone has to provide 1:1 supervision/support to a patient in a ward environment (usually for agitation, confusion etc) then it's often referred to as "specialing". However, it is poor practice to use the same person to carry out this task for the entirety of a shift, staff should rotate and take it in turns rather than one person doing it for the full 12 hours.
