actually, i'd think it is quite an important factor, if you take too many days off, the loan company will think you'v dropped out or something and stop giving you ur loan....or so, thats what i heard...

It is an important factor, however the decision can be revoked, I think you should give them a ring just to explain the situation to them, it wont be a problem so dont worry

its not important. the SLC dont have the resources to check on attendance. I'm sure the University would be breaking the data protection act by passing on that data without your consent.

No. The university will have to remove you from the course first and notify SLC. SLC have 0 authority to check your attention nor do they care. As long as the university doesn't tell them you have left, all is good.

Absolutely not.

Actually, the university are supposed to inform the SLC if you are off for 60 days. You've all signed a declaration form saying that you accept this. That said, most universities will just send a suspension notice for that period, rather than withdraw you from the course.
guys, I'm a student in Kings College London, I'm only in my 5th week of the year and haven't attended 6 seminars. Student finance stopped giving me maintenance loan cause my uni has informed them that I do not attend the classes... so be careful lol
now I'm trying to deal with it by contacting the school and so I would say don't risk it
