My civil service portal updated before I got the email. I’m so confused about being placed on reserve. It says I’m on a waiting list until September 2024 and they may appoint me if a position becomes available. I’m quite disappointed really.

I just got an email saying that I have been put on reserves for the 2nd time in a row. Does anyone think I can do anything about this?

Before anyone’s updated did it still just say second interview slot booked - I’m getting paranoid that they never logged my interview - sounds ridiculous but not hearing anything is driving me mad

Current cps worker- One of my colleagues last year was On the reserved list and was finally given a spot for pupillage in december. So it deffo can happen!!

I’ve been offered east of England which I don’t understand - I live in London, it’s my only offer and I’m heartbroken -

I applied in 2022 and was placed on the reserve list until May 2023. I applied again this year and received an email this morning to say I have been placed on the reserve list until September 2024. I can’t believe this

So sorry to anyone rejected. Feel so ungrateful to say I’m disappointed with my offer- the location (which wasn’t on my list) and salary offered actually mean I can’t afford financially to accept it. So close and yet so far. I am so desperate to do pupillage- to have to turn it down because I can’t afford to do it is gut wrenching

gosh that seems so unfair! Don’t lose hope this could be the time you’re offered a space. Some people who got multiple offers today might reject their space
