University of Plymouth Accomodation

Hi, I'm studying Illustration at University of Plymouth next year. I was wondering, what accomodation do people recommend? I'm struggling to decide. :/

Hi @paperrkites

How are you? Exciting that you're joining us this year! Not long to go now!

We have so many choices for accommodation - I can understand it's super difficult to choose!

There's lots of info on this page for applicants that might come in handy https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/student-life/services/accommodation/applicants

Our Uni halls have a great team - Residence Life - who organise all sorts of events and things, so it might be good to look at that info.

The other thing you could do is chat to our current students (you could even chat to them all!) and find out about their experiences in halls and houses. We have quite a few students on Unibuddy here > https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/student-life/chat-to-students

Best of luck choosing!

This is a little late so I’m sorry! I’m also applying for this year, accommodation was the most stressful part 😭 but you got this!! The accommodation on the Plymouth website has a few to choose from, the price ranges from en-suite rooms 182.50 per week or shared bathrooms 112 (I think). The beds are only singles though and you are sharing the hall with 3-10 other people! Though you can go another route with private halls, though you will need a UK guarantor in order to pay the rent in instalments, most of them are cheaper and have studio rooms aswell! Private halls I would recommend are Astor house, beckley point and central point! Personally I’m going with the uni halls at Francis drake, because I don’t have accessibility to a guarantor :frown: I hope your search goes well and you find a place that feels comfortable to you!! Good luck <3
Ahh, thank you so much for your response !! I managed to figure it out in the end hahah * I've actually applied for the Francis Drake Halls as well !! ^_^
