I was wondering if you could see where I've gone wrong?

Thanks!

Firstly, you've said you want to integrate (1+cos)/(1+tan), but your working has (1+t)/(1+c). Which is it?

I have to say that you've made things far more difficult than they need be. Just use the substitution t = \tan (x/2) and the answer pops out in a couple of lines.
