I'm thinking about applying to uni with the following choices:

University of Edinburgh - Social Anthropology
    - History
University of St Andrews - Social Anthropology
    - Modern History
    University of Glasgow- Anthropolgy/Sociology

Have i got too many choices for the same universities? The thing is though i don't want to go anywhere except St Andrews or Edinburgh... Should i pick 5 different universities??

It could show that your very eager to go to their Uni, so I'd leave it as it is.

Not really as they are seperate departments and may not even realise you've appled to the other department. Even if they did know they probably wouldn't care.

However, you will need to incorporate both subjects in your personal statement. This takes skill as you can easily dilute the PS or make one subject more dominant than the other. It's risky.
