They will look at just the degree and skills you have for that job.

I would resit them, especially that D and E grade

what grades might you get if you resit? Any particular reason to anticipate a large improvement?

no point in resits, best to concentrate on your biomed course. You can always resit at some later date if your worried about your grades, but in my humble opinion I would do my course. It will not doubt vastly improve your overall knowledge and make any re-sits later much easier.

Despite what teachers tell you, future employers and other Universities are not that bothered about 'which Uni'.
If you get 2:1 or a First, and have some relevant work experience, and can write a good application, your A levels will be irrelevant,

I got C E D at alevels is it worth it to resit them if I already got accepted for biomed

I plan to do postgraduate med but if I don't get in will employers in science based jobs look at a levels or just at degrees

Hi there

It is completely up to you whether you wish to resit your Alevels or not. As long as you are happy with your university and course then there is no real reason to resit. It is highly unlikely that any job will look further back than a degree. At the end of the day your uni exam results will be a lot more important than Alevels so please don't worry about that. Hope this helps

Best wishes

this is cool we have the same name ! 😂😂 i would definitely resit first as there’s so many medical students that have also taken a gap year to resit / reapply if they didn’t get offers the first time.

you got this

Postgrad medicine is incredibly competitive, more so than a normal medicine degree. Plus some of the few unis that offer it stipulate that they will still be looking for BBB or higher at A level along with a 2.1 degree.

I’d resit and I’d try and get into medicine first.
