No, of course not. I work for DfI Roads in NI as a PTO (equivalent to EO1) - lots of enforcement duties and all technical duties.

I am also due to interview for an internal post within my Dept to progress to Staff Officer equivalent.

I don’t even think there are any BF jobs in Belfast at present.

Not ideal, but see what happens. I thought it was ok.. i did feel I was being somewhat repetitive though. Also existing CS

Well good luck everyone. I'm current in a enforcement role with my local council just want to change to a more progressive role.

Wow all you guys are already in the business. I’m an Openreach engineer so this is a big change for me.

Completely different from your current role, a change is nice tho and sometimes needed.

It certainly is needed. Lots of transferable skills though. Dealing with unhappy people, thinking on your feet, thinking outside the box, deadlines, things not always going to plan. At least being BF would be drier. Not nice working in the cold and rain all the time

I felt the same! A few people have said that

It’s not very long, that’s all I know 🙈😂

Reply 192

So how long does everyone think we will have to wait for a response this time ? I’m guessing about April

Reply 193

I think it all depends on the closing date and location and how many people they require

Just completed the psychometric test. Made loads of errors but surprisingly passed

Reply 195

Well done, now you’ll be asked to do a written test. ☺️

Was this before or after the interview?

Before. After the psychometric test is a written test, then it's the interview
