From the sounds of things it looks like I may be the one that’s confusing everyone! Completely unintentional, the Campaign seems to be the same but definitely a different role 🫣 It comes under border force and enforcement, I assumed everyone here applied for the same role as me. I’ve applied for the Executive Officer position Runnne1708 pointed out that everyone else applied for ports 😂. #MyBad ✌🏼

In terms of the recruitment process, it’s the same and immigration officer long and winded and exhausting 🥴

Aww don’t worry about it. The whole recruitment process is confusing 😂

Congrats on the job - sounds like a perfect fit for your background. I think what's frustrating to people on here is seeing others getting provisional offers, and wondering why they've heard nothing - then realising it's a different campaign!

As far as I'm aware, nobody from the Civil Service (not HO) route that opened in Jan, with video interviews in Feb has received their interview result yet (possibly some for Manchester, but not sure if that was the same campaign or an earlier one/previous reserve list).

Last communication I had was the one that advised they "should be in a position to issue results within the next 1-2 weeks". Note the "should", so it's no surprise that they didn't issue the results within the timeframe.

Personally, I think we'll get another update tomorrow (but prob not an results). Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll all get our provisional offers before lunchtime today 😁

Don't forget the if you have contacted us in the last 7 days we will cancel you line

What does that mean?

They will automatically just not take into account your application I think?

Yeah I don't think it means that. I think they meant that if you'd emailed for an update, they won't respond.

I agree, the case they are referring to is you asking for an update not the actual job application itself

When they say case closed, they don't mean your application will be cancelled, they mean they won't respond to your message if you've emailed them for an update in the last week. Would be quite unreasonable for them to be cancelling people's applications off the back of asking for an update?

Ohhh gotcha. Sorry hahah that’s just what I thought they meant, well at least they’re not going to just cancel peoples applications then. So basically it’s pointless emailing them then.

Is this the first time you have received this email by any chance or did you receive the same one two ago like some of us have stating the same thing. Shame the two weeks has now passed and still no answers. I am really starting to doubt the effectiveness of their recruitment department.

At least we know everything is marked and waiting to be sent out. Don’t know what the delay is. Maybe it’s going by surname? I don’t think we have much longer to wait to be honest.

If we get it we have more waiting for checks and a start date too. It’s a lengthy process 😅

Its a joke. i also applied for a prison officer role last year and even with delays it was quicker than this. I applied for BFO Manchester in feb. i also applied for BFO core and mobile teams liverpool in september last year but was placed on a reserve list.

Hi, I replied to one of your previous posts further up. I don't understand why it's come as a shock that you're on a reserve list as I told you in my previous post, just because you get an email saying you've passed, it doesn't necessarily mean you get a provisional offer, you may get put on a reserve list for 12 months. If its any consolation, I applied last year through the home office in April 2022, found out in September 2022 I was going on a reserve list and then received a provisional offer this year in March 2023 and I'm currently going through pre employment checks. I would advise you to try and not get so hung up about it. I too have been through the roller coaster ride of emotions of the whole recruitment process. I found another job during the process and put it to the back of my mind and low and behold out of the blue I received an offer when I didn't think I'd hear back from them. So all I'd say is there is hope.

Thanks for this. I too, got another part-time job and taking it easy. Been five weeks in New employment and this I said, who knows, maybe they will need me one day, one year is long to be honest. And I am so proud to achieve even this on my own, the experience of going through the process was very good to me, so I can only get better within the year. If not, I will be great somewhere else. I gained great confidence from this! Joanne heads up, you have great experience, try again!

Think we all know it’s a lengthy process. People are a little bit fed up as they have sent provisional offers out when some of us don’t even know if we passed or not
